Our Story

Cabool Second Baptist Daycare (CSBC Daycare) was born in February 2007 as a small, church-operated daycare with 8 children in attendance, a children's minister and 5 staff.  The daycare was opened to provide ministry and child care for local families.

God has richly blessed this ministry and over the past 15 years the daycare the enrollment capacity grew to 54 children with 14 staff, a full-time director, a full-time food services program, and outreach and integrated connection opportunities through Cabool Second Baptist Church.

CSB Daycare recently received approval from the Department of Health and Senior Services, Division of Child Care Regulation to increase the enrollment capacity to 99 children.  This will allow CSBD to serve more families in Cabool and the surrounding areas as early as January 2020.

The daycare currently follows in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) which sets guidelines for nutritious, balanced breakfast, lunch and snack.

All staff are required to participate in approved training related to health and safety, child development, and food program guidelines as well as ongoing professional development opportunities.

The daycare operates under the governance of a Board of Directors and the membership/leadership of Cabool Second Baptist Church.

Nursery/Infant

The nursery/infant program consists of children ages six weeks through age one.  In the infant program, our staff provides a safe environment where nurturing and support is provided.  The staff works closely with parents to provide feeding and sleeping routines that promote healthy growth and development.  As children transition to the infant ones, scheduled naps, meals and other routine activities are learned and developed over time.
Toddler

The toddler program is made up of our twos.  In the toddler program, the staff focuses on supporting early development through play-based activities focused on social/emotional and gross motor development and early learning skills.
 Early Childhood/Pre-K

The early childhood/Pre-K program is for children ages three through five.  In the EC/PK program, the staff continues to foster social/emotional development while teaching school-readiness skills and routines through play-based activities.
